I have always said that if you want to create a formidable entity, harness the power of mothers.

           One organization has done just that. On behalf of their children and grandchildren, mothers across the U.S. have united.  M.O.M. for America is an organization that's power lies in its numbers and shared purpose of keeping guard over the country’s decision makers and that, most assuredly, includes the future of healthcare. I, for one, would be reticent to have a group of mothers looking over my shoulder. When it comes to protecting their young, you best get out of the way. 

          It starts out gently.  One moment you are in a quiet doctor’s office and the sound of your child’s heartbeat fills the room. More than any song, instrument or pocket of silence, I think it is my favorite sound in the world. Then comes the day when you hold that child and from that moment forward, you come to understand the term animal instinct.

           There is nothing more powerful in this life.
